Even though my last posting was with snow... here we are again. Like you heard on the news we are getting socked over here. The first storm dropped about 20" on us here. I know the total for Newark said 24" but our area might have been spared a little. As I write this, we are in the middle of the next wave. We got a good 5" last night, but the heart of the storm is coming today. So as I look out my window, it truely is "white out" conditions.
We have really enjoyed some sledding and playing in the snow. From the pictures you can see how high the snow is on the kids. it is too hard to walk, but very fun to fall. We even tried to swing and jump into the snow. At first the snow is pretty light and powdery... but after enough runs, the snow packs down for a great runway. We were sledding from the front porch, down the front yard, into the street and making it to the neighbors sidewalk. YEAH!! Peter says it is hard to make a good snowball, but maybe this storm will be easier.
When were all tired out, we brought the sleeping bags out. What a treat to watch a movie and snuggle in their own bags. We knew this would only last an hour or so but still pretty fun.
